About Imiphanga

Imiphanga is South Africa's first and only dedicated funeral notice broadcast show. Born in the Eastern Cape, it serves a simple but vital purpose: making sure that when someone passes, their community knows — regardless of how far family members are spread across the country.

The name Imiphanga comes from the IsiXhosa/IsiZulu word for the roads and paths that connect us — reflecting the show's mission to bridge the distance between families and their communities at the most important moments.

Each episode features funeral notices read by a professional presenter in the language of the community — currently IsiXhosa and English, with IsiZulu, SeSotho and more editions in development. Episodes air every Wednesday on YouTube and Facebook, reaching families near and far.
